Her favorite memory was during Districts of her first year, when her partner, Emma, and herself were taking group pictures with the LT DECA chapter after the awards ceremony. They had learned earlier during the ceremony that they did not advance to State, and with them being novice competitors, they were not discouraged by the outcome. However, when all members who did not advance were asked to step out of the second group photo, they found it hilarious that their two friends and themselves to be the only ones to step out; even though it was funny at the time, they later found encouragement to improve their skills for the following year’s competition (where they advance to state).
